Many initiatives are ongoing to digitise negotiable instruments and documents of title such as bills of exchange and bills of lading using distributed ledger technology (DLT). While doing so, it is also important to ensure that the documents are freely transferable and no business data is exposed.

In the special meeting “DNI – Digital Negotiable Instruments”, Gunnar Collin, Enigio’s Head of Sales and Marketing will explain how to apply DLTs to negotiable instruments in a way that business data stays inside the document and at the same time the document remains immutable, traceable and freely transferable.

André Casterman, the Chairman of the International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) will also attend the meeting to shed light on digital negotiable instruments.

The virtual event will be moderated by the Hyperledger Trade Finance SIG Chair Andrea Frosinini and Eugenio Reggianini on March 16 at 18:00 CET.
